Dream Big — Even When It’s Scary
I’ve always been a big dreamer. Some might say my dreams are lofty, but I’ve learned that growth often starts with daring to imagine something more.
About a year ago, I realized that the stress from my job was following me home. I was short-tempered, tense, and not showing up the way I wanted to for my family. Something had to change. Change is rarely easy, you never know if you’re making the “right” choice, especially when it means stepping outside the norm.
In my family, everyone works for agencies with solid retirement plans and predictable routines. But I felt called to break that mold. In July, I took a leap of faith and left the “secure” job that no longer felt secure for me. I left behind the toxicity and chose to build something of my own.
The past few months have been full of ups and downs. Nothing about entrepreneurship is smooth. The anxiety and stress are still there at times, but now they come with a sense of purpose and possibility. The biggest difference is belief: belief in myself, in the work I do, and in the life I’m building.
I’m showing up more fully for my kids. I laugh more. I’m proud of the progress I’ve made, three months in, I can honestly say I’m successful.
If you’re standing where I was-scared, uncertain, and dreaming big—trust yourself. Take that leap of faith. You can do it, too.
